Fees

Contact us for rates and fees.  We can provide you with additional payment options for insurance reimbursement.  A sliding scale based on income is available.  When you contact us we will set up an initial visit.  At this time we will discuss payment options, complete a contract including the initial fee and schedule a prenatal visit.  We accept Credit/Debit Card payments through PayPal.

Prenatal Support

After our initial consultation, we typically meet with clients 1-3 times for prenatal visits. At these visits we help discuss birth options and preferences, exercise and well-being. We also help you prepare emotionally and physically for labor. We are available to clients for phone consultations and/ or email correspondence and agree to be on-call four weeks before the estimated date of your baby’s birth until the day baby arrives. During on-call weeks we attempt not to travel more than 60 miles from Bay County and to remain available to attend your labor.

Labor Support

Our goal is to get to you within 60 minutes or less of the time you call requesting our presence. This allows us time to find childcare and get to you as quickly as possible. In case of an emergency we do provide a back-up doula. When labor begins we agree to meet you at your home or the hospital, as you wish. We stay with you throughout labor and provide emotional support, physical comfort measures and an objective viewpoint. We facilitate communication between you, your partner and clinical care provider. We also provide for your partner to participate at their comfort level. After your baby’s birth, we will usually remain 1-2 hours as you recover from your birth.

Postpartum Support

We typically make one postpartum home visit within 1-2 days at your home or in the hospital. We will make one more postpartum visit should you need it. During the postpartum period we typically discuss your birth experience, breastfeeding (if desired), baby care basics, adjusting to your new baby and any other non-medical concerns you may have.
